Abstract

Technological innovations in the digital era empower individuals and groups of power to the detriment of national States, creating disruptions that can lead the global order to collapse. The low cost of access to relevant power resources and the logic of creative destruction inherent in global interdependence engender crises and conflicts among the main actors in the international scene. In the absence of ethical and effective governance, the interactions of these processes will make States hostages to permanent crises.
