Abstract

The war between Russia and Ukraine has placed significant international and regional security pressures in Eurasia. It exposes a synchronous security dilemma related to NATO's expansionism over Russian borders and the growing Russian military presence on the border with Ukraine. This dilemma is reinforced by the systemic territorial and geopolitical dynamics that oppose the interests of actors capable of global action, especially the United States and China, through old and new forms of expansionism, thus strengthening new dynamics of war in post-Cold War Europe.
