Abstract

The text addresses the role of Brazil in international politics, contextualized by the founding of the UN and changes in the international structure. Major current issues, such as climate change, growing inequality and threats to global health, in the context of geopolitical transformations, are also addressed. Such reflections underlie the need for reforms of existing multilateral mechanisms, both of formal institutions such as the UN and informal forums such as the G-20, stressing the importance of a multipolar order and the role of Brazil and Latin America in this context.
